Active Sex Causes Prostate Cancer

Men who are sexually active when aged 20 to 30 years at high risk of prostate cancer. Thus the results of the study as noted by the researchers at the University of Nottingham. The researchers asked 800 men, consisting of 400 men diagnosed with prostate cancer, 400 other people who are free from disease. Questions raised are as follows:

How often they have sex since puberty?

From both groups, 59% said sexual intercourse 12 times a month at the age of 20 years. 48% do sex 12 times a month at the age of 30 years, 28% at the age of 40 years, and 13% at age 50.

Approximately two-fifths of the prostate cancer group has 6 or more sexual partners. While the group that did not have prostate disease fewer number of sexual partners.

An expert said that high levels of male sexual hormones responsible for the frequency of sexual activity that would trigger prostate cancer when their parents later. Hormones play a role in prostate cancer cases.
