Osteoporosis and Osteoarthritis


Disturbances in the knee, and bone (osteoarthritis) is generally associated with osteoporosis. In fact, this is including two different things. What's the difference?

Osteoporosis is bone loss, whereas osteoarthritis is perkapuran bone. Perkapuran is a disease inside the joint while osteorosis is a disease of the bone.



Osteoporosis no symptoms, do not hurt or feel pain if the bones were broken because it has been fragile. Unlike osteoarthritis which would cause pain, especially in the knee joint. Knee is the largest joint in the body that its use is also widely used in everyday life. Knee allows us to move, sit up to run. In addition, the knee also helps sustain body weight.

Osteoporosis can be cured by consuming milk containing calcium. Unlike osteoarthritis which has no effect on how much we consume high calcium milk.

Symptoms of osteoarthritis include pain that is getting stronger with increasing activities undertaken. In further condition, the pain still arise even when we are in a state of rest or sleep. Knee joint was stiff and difficult to move, can not be folded or bent with sempuna, arising sound each time moving, and swelling.

All people at risk for osteoarthritis, especially those who have a high level of activity. In high mobility, people often experience a complaint at the knee joint. While in young adults, knee complaints generally relate to the job such as lifting heavy objects, were injured when exercising, often up and down stairs. At Oran gyang been aged over 40 years, complaints arise from entering a period of aging and gaining weight.

It is often complained of is sprained. But many people consider it lightly because it is still able to walk. Though not a few who become serious sprain may result in injury to joint cartilage, meniscus, and tendon (ligament). It can not be detected by rontgent / X-ray, because it looks normal. Therefore it can only be done with magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) to view structural abnormalities of the joints.

Cartilage injuries usually occur because of trauma caused by a sprain. An example often use high-heeled shoes, or exercise without warming. Heating is very important to do the body to flex the joints so that is ready for use when exercising. Exercise caution for those who have a bone-shaped O or X and a history of frequent loose shell.
